Manipulation has no place

Manipulation is a common tool to get others to do what one or one group wants or envisages it needs, usually for specific purposes like power and control. Verbal or psychological, behavioural, physical or gestural … it’s all manipulative and applied daily by us all in ‘some more some less’ ways. To communicate manipulation-free is hugely challenging and only possible with great discipline of clarity and honesty with oneself and others. When we understand the impact of manipulation and how invasive it is on others, it feels obvious to avoid and not to apply it. And if someone does … they have something in mind … consciously or subconsciously. Is it really that simple? Essentially … yes.
